Albatross
Tekst:
Now the bird is slowly gliding
High upon the southern sea
On the wind she’s gliding
Writing her own poetry
A long way she has travelled
Now she finally made het way
Soaring on the wind she’s coming
Carried by the rising air
And when she sees the Bay of Islands
She descents searching for a place to breed
And in that soft tall grass she will built her nest
And brood until she has a chick to feed
She rested on the ocean surface
Waiting for the winds to come
To lift het of that salty water
Singing her beautiful song
Guided by a mental compass
She found her natal colony
Soaring on the wind she’s turning
Overcomes her gravity
And when she sees the Bay of Islands
She descents searching for a place to breed
And in that soft tall grass she will built her nest
And brood until she has a chick to feed
She will fly until the morning sun
She will glide to open sea
She will fly until she finds the one
she will glide until she’s free
