Yellow line

Tekst:

Babe I know I let you down
Lately I ain’t been much around
Been on the road had to keep this engine running

You had to take that nighttime job
Serving meals at the Trucker’s Stop
That’s all my fault, I didn’t had the money come in

I just follow the yellow line and I should be home tomorrow
Follow the yellow line, even if I have to steal, beg or borrow
Baby we will be fine if I just follow the yellow line

Now I’m coming home to stay
Manage to save some on the way
They need some hands at the paper mill in Heather

I’m anxious to see my little son
I know is has been way too long
And I can’t wait to hold you both together

I just follow the yellow line and I should be home tomorrow
Follow the yellow line, even if I have to steal, beg or borrow
Baby we will be fine if I just follow the yellow line

Marriage is a mountain road, a pick-up truck with a heavy load
Keep both hands on the steering wheel, keep on driving hope that she will

Follow the yellow line, follow the yellow line
Follow the yellow line, follow the yellow line

Follow the yellow line and the whole thing will come together
Follow the yellow line, pretty soon we will feel better
Baby we will be fine, if we just follow the yellow line
